cob/spring rush
by: PNMWhy do sororities spring rush or (COB)? Is it because they didn't meet fall rush quota OR is it because a lot of girls dropped after bid day/pledging?

Lots of reasons that all stem from them being under campus total. They could've made quota, but if you are under total you still have to COB. If they have always been on the smaller side (AXO, Phi Mu, DG mostly due to being new.) just because they make quota once doesn't mean they meet campus total now! Or if a chapter has a lot of girls drop that is another reason.

I can only speak for the chapter I am in but for us the answer is no. If we are still under campus total after meeting quota on bid day we spend the first week or two of school doing COB so that we reach campus total as soon as possible and the girls who recive COB bids can be incorporated into the pledge class if girls who recived bids on bid day.
