is once cut always cut really a thing?

I got cut by KKG, PiPhi, DDD and XO. If I make friends in these groups and really kill it my freshman year gpa wise, is there a chance I could get a bid sophomore year?

I just saw a post on here that said that "once cut" thing. Is it true? Should i just stay put and take my chances with what I have left?

If those are the only 4 that dropped you you still have a lot of good options. The only one of those houses that takes sophomores or spring bids is DDD, and you can't count on that. Go back to the houses you have left and you just might fall in love with one.

Is it true a house lets their members mm have private meetings to try and get girls cut? Like making up that a pnm has talked badly about a house to an alum when it's not true at all.

I doubt very seriously anyone would acknowledge or take anything someone like this has to say seriously. Unfortunately all houses have crack slippers who make it in by accident and do nothing but start drama. I don't think you have anything to worry about, these girls are never respected and do not have the power or authority to affect someone's chances.

it takes more than one girl's opinion to get girls cut for reputation or rumors - especially if she is someone's else favorite girl. There are more checks and balances than people think.
