spring rush
by: DisappointedI just got dropped by all the Houses I wanted. Does anyone ever come and ask you back after you were cut? Do many House participate in Spring Rush? If so who? How does Spring Rush work?

You may have been dropped because your grades or something you've done in the past that someone has proof of… If it's one of those things, chances are low you'll get to those houses in the spring as well. I would just keep going through rush because you'll end up where you need to be most likely and with girls who want you there that didn't consider you a second choice.

that is what got you dropped. Almost every member has a girl that they want. If you don't know any of the members and have the exact same great resume, grades, etc., they are going to go with the girl they know for sure.
There is a great house waiting for you! If you don't know anyone at UA, you don't even know what constitutes a great house. If you are going off the misinformation spewed here, try again.
Just going through the first round, you had to see that there every group had fantastic members and so much to offer. You also had to see that most of the stuff said here is just mean girl talk.

Since my roommate pledged AOPI during spring COB, I am 100% certain they also participated.

PLEASE continue on with rush! The girls who invited you back did so because they could see a place for you in their chapter. Even if your conversation with a girl wasn't completely phenomenal, she likely voted for you to come back because she could see you getting along well with another sister (or many other sisters). Please try to have an open mind and keep going!

You are not a pnm. Why does it bother you who holds spring rush? While you enjoy seeing other girls hurt there are hundreds of other girls who chose kindness.

I am asking because I am interested in spring rush and would like to know if there will be options for me. I would never want to hurt anyone, as I myself am hurting right now.

Don't count on any one year being reflective of another. COB always depends on numbers and there is never a guarantee that any house is going to offer an spring bids based on years before. You should always stay in and go to your parties through Pref. You get to spend more time at the houses and you might fall in love with a house that initially you weren't interested in. Good luck, I hope you run to your new family on Saturday. Also...you might be surprised after a few weeks on campus you will no longer like that house you were going to wait for spring for.

Actually I have great grades, nice recs, well rounded resume and a good reputation. I thought I had nice conversations and several connections with the members. The only thing is I am from out of state and I do not know anyone at U of A. Would that automatically drop me?
