Not without an in house sister. You'll know after the first round cause that's when grade cuts are done.

This is the average GPA for each sorority Spring 2017. These are GPAs for girls ALREADY in college and in a sorority. These are not their requirements for pledging. Those requirements might be higher.

3.3 will work for many houses.

Looks like most all the houses maintain the same GPA.

The thing to understand about GPA is this: we are looking out for the good of the chapter. Houses are not just picking for this year or this semester - our goal is to have members who will be here all four years, graduate and become supportive alumni.

One of the biggest reasons members drop is grades. If a pnm has a lower GPA in HS it is a safe assumption that she will struggle more in college. Most people notice a drop in gpa in college just because of the learning curve, being away from home and not having the relationship with professors like you might have had in a smaller high school class.

Most houses won't take a grade risk unless it is a legacy with a sister in the house. There's a reason for that. These houses have high standards and someone who doesn't do well grade-wise in high school isn't going to do well in college. Top houses can get whomever they desire, so there's really no need to take a chance.

And because the majority of girls who go through rush are outstanding in so many ways, they will want to fill their pledge class with girls who will not be a worry. Sorry, but it's true.
