Let me explain connections. You and patti pnm have the same awesome resume and shiny personality but I've known patti pnm forever. We went to school and church and camp together. We've dreamed about being in the same sorority. All my sisters love her. But everyone has a patti pnm or two or three. Enough for several pledge classes. Someone has to get cut. Trust me it's awful. It's a numbers game. This is how great girls end up in all houses. Yes there are spots for those without connections but is why you have to be a perfect recruit to get one of those spots. So don't be upset or take it personal if a top house cuts you day one. It sucks for us on the other side too!

What is a "perfect" resume? Give some examples of things you look for in the resume that makes girls shine

a "Perfect" resume has to be balanced. Great grades, volunteer work (ideally not voluntourism), leadership, and fun. You might be head cheerleader and editor of the yearbook, but that doesn't mean as much if your GPA is really low, because your priorities might not be right. Or you could have a 4.5 and all AP classes, but if you don't have any activities or leadership, not only will you seem too one-sided, but you probably won't have anything to talk about.

It is a numbers game. YOu will end up where you should be. There is not group at Arkansas that is not full of stellar, smart girls. Don't limit yourself.

Don't listen to mean, uninformed girls! You will meet great girls who will be lifelong friends if you stay true to the process.

don't lie on your resume. Too late if you did. It's a small world after all.
