cost of sorority for first year?
by: n/aWhat is the most a sorority could cost your first year? I know it varies from house to house

If finances matter please educate yourself before you sign your bid card! My sorority wouldn't tell until bid day. It's 500-600 month and I'm not living in house. Luckily my parents understood but it's still hard watching my sisters with unlimited funds and I'm counting pennies!

Honestly $2000.00 is a lot to pay. Members that do not live in house rarely eat at the house, if ever. Most out of house sophmores and nearly all junior and seniors are only at the house for rush and a couple times a month for meetings.Any honest member of any house will tell you that. Most girls are not going to walk across campus to go eat lunch at the house. They aren't going to drive either because there isn't anywhere to park. For the majority of members the $2000.00 is just about being in a sorority. It's a business and your dues are going to pay for the expense of running a business. It takes a lot of money to run a sorority and that's basically what the dues are for.
