rec letters

If you don't have a rec letter for a sorority, are you automatically cut?

Most likely not. They're mainly just for actives to get to know you a little better. Sometimes they're a deciding factor on whether to cut you or not. If we have to decide between you and girl with identical qualifications we'll most likely go with the one who has a Rec letter. Don't stress, you'll be fine!!! #gogreek

Depends. It is the easiest way to cut so groups that have to cut a BUNCH the first day, will cut those without recs first.

you can still get a rec if you know someone. We had an alum hand deliver a rec for someone because she forgot until she saw a post on FB about the girl rushing.
