what round are legacies cut?
by: PnmI heard that legacies have to be cut by their legacy house by a certain round so that that house doesn't get their hopes up. What round does a house have to cut their legacies by?

I looked up some of these on their chapter websites. Most, if not all of the sororities with chapters at Arkansas are:
1. Required to invite legacies to at least one party
2. Required to put legacies on their first quota/bid list if they make it all the way to Pref Night.
If you are a legacy to somewhere specific I would just look it up. Most of the sororities have it online if you google "[Sorority] legacy policy". Hope this helps answer your question!

There are so many girls coming through that are legacies that it would be virtually impossible for a chapter to take all of them. Some groups could fill an entire pledge class with legacies and still cut some. Sadly, this makes for lots of hurt feelings from the PNMs and the moms/sisters/g'mas, etc.
Every group has a different policy so it is hard to tell.

I know legacies that got cut the very FIRST round. They were great girls but some of the chapters that have been at UARK forever (xo, ddd, Piphi, kappa etc.) have so many legacies that they just can not invite them all back. Combine the legacies from UARK with other schools with Panhellenic requiring those stronger chapters to cut around 1000 girls night one and you've got legacies getting cut. Sad, but true.

She didn't say all sororities do that. She was talking about her sorority. Every house has different policies.
