This goes for any house! It always helps to know girls or have friends in the house! Also I would say kappa and similar houses would want at least a 3.3 or higher. However, if the house really wants you they're not going to cut you just for grades! Kappa is great but honestly so is every house on campus!! Try not to be set on one before rush because everyone gets cut from houses they like and just go with where you feel at home!! Good luck girl!

Kappa will cut you for grades. 3.4 or better is safe. Kappa may be the right sorority home for you! You may find other houses you like better. You can't know yet. Ignore all the haters who post about pretending someone you aren't to get into the right house. They obviously got cut and are now in a lower tier sorority trying to make themselves feel better that they weren't Kappa material.

Kappas rush is very fair. They made some tough decisions last year They stood up for girls being bullied and body shamed. They let it be known the type of girl that participates in things like that would not be welcome no matter their connections or who they thought they were. Being spoiled and entitled are not leadership qualities. No house wants the high school mean girl being front and center in their house during recruitment the next year.

Kappa don’t play! First round cuts for grades under 3.4, leadership, and connections can be harsh. If you make it to the next round then they see you as a possible sister. That’s when convo skills are so important. They cut over 1000 pnms first round so if you are one don’t take it personal. Those decisions were made before you even moved into your dorm!

used to be if you were a chapter legacy or had an in house sister you were guaranteed a bid. with so many quality non legacy girls coming through that no longer applies. if you are a grade or reputation risk you won’t get a bid. might make a lot of sisters/moms/grandmoms mad but as an active it’s a relief to not have to explain a someone’s bad behavior by “it’s ok they’re a legacy”.
