Will a good ACT score balance out a sub par GPA?

but it also raises the question, if you had the smarts to make a great score, did you just not try in HS?

It doesn't take a lot of deductive reasoning to figure out if you had a 2.8 GPA and a 30 ACT, you didn't make much of an effort in high school.

OR you took lots of challenging classes like AP which were not weighted in your gpa. Slacking off is definitely not the only reason lol
