question for actives

by:

I know this is a strange question, but we are trying to pick a meal plan and I can't find this info anywhere. Do the houses at Arkansas serve meals? My older daughter at another school had 3 meals/day at her house, so we didn't do the unlimited meal plan. I know the cost/year at Arkansas is a lot lower than there, so I didn't know if that was the difference. Also, is there a dorm that most of the girls who rush live at? Thanks!

(looking forward to her wearing t-shirts for recruitment instead of all the dresses I had to buy for her sister!)

just search meal plans uark and it should be the first website on google

during recruitment you move in early, so you will be able to meet girls in whatever dorm you choose.

Usually girls who do not live in house (i.e. your daughter while she lives in the dorm) are not allowed to eat at the house except for Chapter night or random events. Like it is not normal to have freshman at the house eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are obviously welcome at the house and are usually there all the time, but staff only makes enough food for girls that live in house. So go with the unlimited, because all freshman eat at the dorms anyways and she'll want to bond with her pledge class in that way.

Also, live in Reid. Literally that entire dorm rushes.

there is girls in every single dorm that rush, but since reid is the all girls dorm, they all pretty much go through recruitment. Get the 10 meal plan because honestly I have 15 and i never use all of my meals because of percentage nights and things like CFF (chicken finger friday). Also I would reccomend not living in reid, because its cool to have friends that are involved in greek life and that are not. I have friends in every chapter on campus, but my best friends aren't greek and I like that because it gives me a totally diverse group of friends.
