not a legacy, no recs, no in house connections?
by: curiousIf you're not a legacy, have no recs, and don't have any in house connections, can you still have a successful recruitment? Will Houses give you a chance?

You HAVE to get some recs. You know people who are/were in sororities even if you don't think you do. If you are still in high school, ask all your female teachers. They will likely know which other teachers were Greek even if they weren't. Ask your Mom's friends and your friends' moms. Contact the Panhellenic in your town - if you are in even a medium sized city, there is one.

Having recs will definitely help the chapters get to know you better and ensure you have a good time at their chapter during rush. If you don't have recs, how will they know who you are before you step in the door round one? Legacies and connections obviously help, but I didn't know anyone and I still got the house I wanted. Just send in recs.
