I'm not rushing but my sister is and she's stressed.
How strict is chi omega's recruitment? what all do they ask for when sending in things and how does their recruitment compare in strictness to other chapters?

What do you mean by "strict"?
Here is what I can tell you about the Chi Omega chapter here (I am not a ChiO, by the way):
1. ChiO was founded at Arkansas. The chapter here is a BIG DEAL nationally, plus lots of campus tradition. It was the 1st sorority on campus, too.
2. Because the chapter has been around for 120+ years, there are tons & tons of Arkansas chapter legacies- not just ChiO legacies but pnms whose moms & sisters were ChiO's here. Some years there are enough legacies to fill several pledge classes. Most legacies WILL BE CUT. It's just math. Also, ChiO is one of the only sororities to not include grandmas as legacy relationships- just moms & sisters.
3. Because ChiO is one of the largest chapters on campus, they have smaller pledge classes than the other sororities. Kappa & PiPhi also have small pledge classes like ChiO. While other houses take 150+ new members, these big houses can only take around 110-125 (exact #s vary by year).
Do you see where I'm going here? ChiO is probably THE most difficult chapter to get a bid. Your sister should NOT get her hopes pinned on just ChiO because only about 8% of the girls going through rush will become ChiO's.
Your sister should be preparing for rush, not preparing for ChiO. Hopefully she got recs for ALL houses, has good grades, was a leader & involved in high school, enjoys female friendships, is a good conversationalist, and is well-groomed. If she wants to be Greek, she should be open to all houses.

You just have to trust that the rec writers do their job. This is probably the 100th rec they've written and they know what to do.
If she's really concerned and she hasn't written thank you notes yet, she can send them now to see if that jogs anyone's memory who hasn't sent one.
I don't think any of my rec writers told me they had sent them in & it turned out just fine.
Tell sister to take a deep breath and relax.

Do you know how we can make sure all the recs have gotten to the houses? Some of her recommenders didn't check the notification option and we want to make sure each house has everything.
