bid cards
by: wonderingI read about how on pref night you will "sign your bid card". What does this mean? Let's say you have two pref parties that night. Which card do you sign? Your first choice? Or both? I'm confused.

Yeah so you sign two cards and list what choice you made. In the event that you dont get first choice, you are offered the second choice. It isnt a huge process once you make your decision. Making the decision is the harder part! But there are plenty of Gamma Chis and other counselors to help you through it. Good luck!

You only sign two cards if you are willing to receive a bid from either house. If you would not accept a bid to one of the houses then you don't want to list that house. It's best to not accept a bid than to join a house that you know that you'd be unhappy in. After visiting a house four times during rush you will know if you would be willing to join that house or not.
