Off campus fraternities works as hard as they can to get you to pledge them. Once you get initiated, you realize that there's nothing to do except party which is what every fraternity already does anyways and more. Off campus is the biggest scam. Don't fall for it.

Yes you'll probably have the hardest pledge process ever, but from what i know it looked worth it for my roommate. He rages with best sororities/hottest smokes, still gets to do sports, and do philos with sororities just under a different name

I'm in a on-campus fraternity and I'll be the first one to say that I wish my chapter was off-campus. For the most part people join a fraternity for the social/brotherhood aspect and the current policies of the ASU administration don't allow our chapters to flourish and grow the way they should in that aspect. The university doesn't support us and often tries to bring us down rather than compromise and help us as a community. The fraternities that are off-campus seem to be backed and heavily supported by their national offices and they don't have the university breathing down their back and weighing them down. To be honest, join whichever chapter you feel comfortable with but don't forget about the off campus chapters. Although it is currently a tough time for them; I have a feeling that in the near future they will be doing bigger and better things than on campus fraternities.

Off campus fraternities party the hardest and pull some pretty attractive girls, but from what I've heard they also have some really hard pledging. In a year or two, they'll be irrelevant though and fade out. Would't be too surprised to see some of their charters' pulled eventually. Do what you feel is best and where you fit, but I don't see most of the off campus fraternities' lasting very long.

Sigma Chi has been off campus for nearly 2 years, TKE has been off campus for 3 years with the exception of 1 semester where they were let back on, then kicked off again. They are doing fine after years, they'll do fine. I'm sure DKE will be ok as well. As long as they can keep nationals' support, they'll be ok, that's what really matters. Other off campus fraternities died out immediately because their charters were pulled by nationals (SAE, Sigma Nu, PSK, etc).

Since asu has been cracking down on all Greek life the off campus houses have been running the social scene. It's unfair to the houses that have been behaving but it's just the way things go, but don't look here ask girls who they like

The off-campus frats are proving how useless IFC and Greek Life is at ASU. The "underground" houses still have a good time and are as active on campus as the recognized frats, only without the ridiculous oversight and fees of our administration. It's time to abolish IFC and the Greek Life office at ASU. Going rogue = freedom.
