is 60 bids really that much? plenty of frats have pledge classes that start at around 45-50. If that many accept out of 60 that's not embarrassing at all. Now if 20/60 accept that's a different story.

Yes, it's a lot. No, plenty of fraternities do not give out 60 bids or start out with pledge classes of 45-50. The only ones that do that are pike, delta sig, and dchi.

Good houses will have a pledge class of 35 tops. Usually aim for 25-30 solid kids

I can remember in recent years, good houses (at the time) Theta Chi, Kappa Sig, and TKE (when on campus) have had over 50 pledges. Maybe not the top house on campus but all of those have definitely been top ~5 frats.

I'm not a Dchi. Just saying it's not a pike/dsig only thing to have 50 pledges.

I've been in TKE for 4 years, and the absolute most we've ever had in a pledge class was 42. Ended up with 38 at the end. Never anywhere close to over 50...

its just called having a good rush... different than how delta sig and pike hands bids to every kid who signs up at their table. 55/57 accepted, you do the math...
