a positive outlook on fraternity rush week

Rush week is basically over and most frats are doing interviews today. Here's my outlook and how everyone has been doing in recruitment.

Sig Ep: Getting the same quality as always but not the same numbers. A year without a complex has set them back from dominating recruitment, however they will still have enough dope kids to keep girls coming back.

Lamda: Successfully selling themselves based on campus involvement, academics, and sorority relations. More word is getting out about their light process, but it tends to attract more kids than it turns away.

Kappa Sig: Recruiting a lot of kids who like to turn up. Straight forward with their party scene and gaining a lot of interest because of it. Could have spent more from their huge budget on recruitment, but they seem confident with what they have to offer.

Alpha Sig: Gaining more recognition in rush due to their complex. Seemed to have a solid rush week, but have failed with recruitment in the past. More talk of them this time around from girls and rushees, let's see how they handle it.

Fiji: Seem to consistently overcome negative rumors with recruitment. Nice complex to show off, and targeting kids who like to rage. Wont' see goobers in this PC as they have high expectations for themselves. Might not get the numbers they're hoping for because of it though.

DTD: Building off a solid foundation from last year. Going after athletes and shouldn't have a hard time convincing some guys. Exec seems capable of overselling themselves and rising up a tier. We will see if the chapter is able to convince their rushees not to join a more prestigious chapter.

Pi Kapp: Have always done well in recruitment in the past and seem to be doing more of the same. Similar to Lambda with their selling points, and it does work on some kids. Should be maintaining their respectful status. Not expecting them to blow up suddenly though.

Delta Sig: They know what they want, a lot of kids. Continuing the strategy of relying on numbers for intramurals and philos. They do a good job of reaching their recruitment goals and don’t seem to be changing their mentality this semester. Expect more of the same.

Delta Chi: Don’t have the most well-known letters, but their complex gives them enough relevancy to compete. Enough cool guys in the chapter for an appealing rush, but there should be no expectation of leaping up drastically.
