So in other news, apparently SigEp Nationals and undergrad actives passed a new by-law to abolish pledging.
A statement said: "New members will have full rights the day they accept their bid: chapter, ritual, and anything a four-year brother can do on behald of their letters".
Thoughts?

It's unfortunate that things that have happened with SigEp over the past couple of years have led to their national organization becoming uninsurable. Doing away with pledging was probably one of only a small amount of options to stay insured and not teetering on a fine line of the unknown if there was a lawsuit. It's an unfortunate negative trend in the declination of fraternities.

SAE National announced last year it was eliminating pledging completely from their membership . I believe both LXA and ZBT do the same thing as well.
