pledge process
by: AHow does the pledge process differ from fraternities that haze, like FIJI to ones that don't, like Lambda or Pi Kappa Phi.

Think about the long term picture. 1 semester of absolute hell may or may not be worth it depending on what the fraternity has to offer in return. I dont think things would have been much different if my fraternity didn't haze to be honest. Like I said, you're only a pledge for a semester, but you're with that fraternity for a lifetime. Do whats best for YOU. For me, the semester of hell I had to go through wasn't worth it, as my chaper is filled with a bunch of idiots who got us kicked off a year and a half after I pledged.

^last response... well worded man. I whole heartedly agree with what you are saying. I never really thought about it like that. Its sad to think about, but I guess the greek tradition really is dying and non hazing fraternity are slowly starting to pop up more and more

In response back to the Sig Chi, Yes i agree with that. I never rip on anyone for doing their own thing, can't really say much considering we're off campus ha, but I was just saying how it was worth it for me. In the end it's all about having a good time. On a side note, a few years ago when i pledged, houses that didn't haze weren't very relevant. But I guess now that hazing houses are all ending up in trouble/kicked off, hazing free houses and minimal hazing houses are becoming more popular.
