sorority rush

Hi All! After a year of thought I decided I'm going to rush as a sophomore. However, I have some questions concerning the college gpa requirement for each sorority? I was told it varies from the HS gpa requirement. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

You need a 2.75 college GPA. High schoolers need a 3.0 :)

Each house has a different minimum gpa requirement that varies a bit from the high school one. It's typically higher than the high school gpa requirement too. Some houses also look at your major, so if you have a lower gpa (still higher than the requirement, though) but are studying biochem or something else more difficult than say, communication, you may not be released because of that.

They are all different. I would say 3.0 or better is pretty standard for most chapters for incoming freshman. My chapter for upper classmen is at or above the all sorority average which I think is around a 3.1 or 3.2.
