KD went off about 5 years ago but had a clause in their exit papers that they could come back. They were supposed to come back last fall but wanted to give gamma phi a chance to reorganize. It was a 3 group stacked expansion. Sigma Kappa then KD then AOPi. ZTA was not invited to colonize at the time.

Their IH has been looking for them to return to ASU for the past two years now. They are slated to come back, but have been deferring. Not because of other chapters, but because of greek life as a whole. They were not willing to open another chapter here until they felt they could have a "healthy" environment to colonize in. My personal guess would be this coming fall will be their year.

When their higher ups feel they will be able to take the maximum amount of girls and hold good retention compared to other houses already on campus. They won't be apart of a formal recruitment, obviously since they have no one to recruit with. So they need to feel they'll be getting quality women after the main crop already has rushed.

Last year they had gamma phi's late recruitment to compete with so obviously that wasn't what they wanted. And this year pan did recruitment a little differently and there was a huge number of PNMs that went into formal. Next year will be better for them as far and getting their foot in the door and getting it to stick.

Instead of a regular rush, it's more like a job fair. PNMs sign up for interviews with national reps.
