Spring Pre-Rush Sorority Rankings 2025 Explained

by: Marti

At the top, Alpha Phi definitely stands out, mainly because of their Instagram following and attractive members. However, they do have a few individuals who give off a "ghetto" vibe and act a bit eccentric, which can hurt their overall reputation. Following them, there’s a noticeable gap, and Delta Zeta comes next. The gap exists because many of their members can be hard to talk to; they often come across as rude and overly confident, especially to those outside their sorority. They also tend to dress inappropriately and party almost every night. There were even reports of them doing lines of c0ke on bid day with their new members, which raises some eyebrows.

In the upper mid-tier, you definitely have Alpha Chi Omega. They’re sweet girls but don’t seem to do much compared to other sororities. Following them, many would place Pi Beta Phi, but I disagree. Pi Phi is on the decline. Their members seem to lean towards a hippie vibe, and there’s been some questionable behavior, including doing lines. Plus, they’re on probation for hazing during Big/Little week. With no events or notable presence, they seem to be paying for friendships rather than building a strong sisterhood. Instead, I’d replace them with Kappa Kappa Gamma. Yes, I’m aware of past incidents like Julianna and Scuba, but those were a few years ago, and it seems like most of the newer girls don’t have those same eccentricities. KKG is definitely on the rise. While some members aren’t the most conventionally attractive, they are easy to talk to and stand out among the other top-tier sororities.

In the middle tier, you have Theta. The girls are really sweet, but a lot of them tend to talk about their intelligence a lot, especially since many are in Barrett. It gets a little repetitive, but they’re nice overall.

For low-mid, I would place Delta Gamma. There’s nothing negative to say about them—they’re sweet and would make great girlfriends. However, they’re just not my personal preference. After that, you have Kappa Delta, where the members seem divided. Half are normal, while the other half lean into a more eccentric, anime-driven vibe. Finally, Chi Omega rounds out this tier. They have a reputation for being strange and are involved with substance use, plus they’re on probation. Honestly, they’re not very impressive to me.

At the bottom, I’d put Alpha Omicron Pi. They’re on the rise because their new members are starting to look better, but many of them are still awkward. I’ve met a few cool people there, but it’s hit or miss. After them, there’s Sigma Kappa, who have a reputation for substance use on bid day and are also difficult to talk to. They’re not the most attractive group, and their social dynamics don’t seem to click. Lastly, there’s Alpha Delta Pi, and we all know the reasons for that.
