pledge process
by: ellooOk I never write stuff on here but I feel that this is a necessary post. FRESHMAN, greek life at ASU is a bit unorthodox and it's always changing especially since Alpha Drive has been gone. There are still quite a few great BROTHERHOODS here at ASU and also a lot of SOCIAL CLUBS that call themselves fraternities. If you aren't really looking for strong brotherhood, you are going to want to rush a house with a very minimal process and minimal hazing. Some of these "social clubs" include Lambda Chi, Pike, Delta Sig, Chi Phi, Sigma Tau Gamma, DTD. Lamda Chi is the only one here that is middle to upper tier because of grades, intramurals, philos and popularity with girls. However, they lack in brotherhood because of their two week new member process. A real brotherhood will make you earn your letters and go through some tough times with your pledge bros. Just something to consider. Sorry to throw a little jab in here but a TOP HOUSE should have a very strong brotherhood with a respectable pledge process. Pledging is something that will change your life within a course of a semester for the better but it's not for everyone.

Nothing against Lambda Chi but when you take away from what a top house fraternity has done for years and years all across the United States it does not work. Lambda Chi gives out bids so fast, yes your inteviews etc. are a lot but you never really pledge. Its a joke to the rest of brothers of chapters who went through some stuff to put on the letters. FRESHMEN its one of the most rewarding feelings and will change your life. Social clubs is right, those he listed are just clubs that share in a membership but SAYING BROTHERHOOD is a joke. Its insulting to the rest that had to actually earn letters and pledge. Do not let Lambda Chi, DTD, Delta Sig, Pike, ETC. tell you that they pledged etc...not bashing on these houses stating the hard facts.

I am by no means saying rush Theta Chi like the post above me or rush Lambda Chi or Sig Ep. But FRESHMEN by all means rush whatever house fits you but just look at all the post about DKE from every house on here. They are literally just a joke to anyone in greek life. They sit on this site daily and put themselves in the top but have nothing to prove they are worth it. Literally the only thing about DKE that they have going for them is they openly talk about how hard they haze kids and how hard their pledge process is. I like Sig Ep, Lambda is great, and Theta Chi is solid as well. I would never join DKE, I would rather join DTD or PIKE over joining some kids who just constantly talk about how good they or how bad other houses are. If your'e a good house their is literally no need to ever do that. DKE complains why they get a bad rep or why people always talk about them its because they pick fights( and lose hence TKE) and they are always trolling other frats. Their obession for Lambda Chis pledge process and constant hate of Kappa Sig should show you guys something.

Hard to get a bid from, and extremely hard process. Very long and one of the last time get intiated. Easily hardest pledge process are Sig Ep, Theta Chi, Sig Chi, DKE, and I heard Kappa Sig has a hard one as well evne though its a lot of weird undewear stuff. Kappa Sig is pretty bottom tier but the kind of the bottom but respectable for the pledge process thats about it.

Sadly this is all true FRESHMEN. Choose wisely do not be the guy that thinks twice when he puts on that double stiched sweater for the first time for the big bro. RUSH SOMETHING RESPECTABLE. AND DO NOT GET OPINIONS FROM YOUR FRIENDS THAT ARE GIRLS ABOUT WHAT PLEDGE PROCESS ETC. THIS SITE IS CRAPPY ABOUT BASHING BUT A LOT OF TRUTH COMES FROM HERE. RUSH SMART RUSH DKE.
