How bad is frat hazing

by: Pnm

I’m rushing this fall and pledged a frat at a different school last year but dropped due to bs hazing. How bad is hazing generally at ASU

Honestly they all do. They will tell you they don't but they do and it is pretty severe. Some are worse than others but they all do and it's all bad news.

What wrong with giving a little head to a bro?

if ya want an easy route to a brotherhood... pledge SAE or Sig Nu. the downside is a watered-down level of brotherhood though but that naturally happens when pledging doesnt involve too much group accountability aka hazing. most other guys in other fraternities would agree

Honestly I went to penn state, That dude da truth is completely right. My fraternity didn't haze and the brother hood was wack, I didn't even like it just wanted to graduate, we had brothers DA and a lot of them just didn't seem happy. I don't mean to be pro hazing by any means, just don't join for the wrong reasons.

Lol any good fraternity is gonna haze you it’s the foundation for a strong brotherhood

and that's why SAE will never be seen as a fraternity with a true brotherhood that was molded over group activities and emotional distress over the course of a semester.
How can you truly glue together a good pledge class when they become actives in 3 days after signing? People literally build bonds when they go thru both fun and tough times together. that is literally the point of pledging, being forced to create a bond you didnt even know was possible outside of your highschool buddies. JUST SAYIN'

That's the stupidest thing ever. You don't need to be hazed to build bonds. LMFAO

you're right. bonds can be created without hazing for sure. but i'm not sure how many people would choose a less traditional pledging process compared to others. but you are absolutely right, i was just stating the kind of bond is much different... and if you disagree or don't know then that shows how you're pledging process went. You're not wrong, just saying its different when you bond via a pledge process with ups and downs!

That's just plain dumb and totally inaccurate and if that's your outlook than it says about whatever frat your in as well as a lot about you.

The hazing is mostly to do with drinking lots of alcohol. make sure you can tolerate alcohol and make friends with other rushees

Nah not necessarily, he just has to join for the right reasons and find the right fit.
