Does rushing make it easier to find friends
by: FreshSome of the sorority girls at asu seem like they have 6000 friends from their instagrams. I’m used to having a small group of friends im close with. Would it be better for me to avoid top sororities during recruitment?

if you prefer a smaller, close-knit group of "real" friends, i'd stay away from any srat, or at least the top. as you've astutely noticed, their self-image is based on quantity not quality of friendships. so "buying" fake friends, especially in the top houses, is pretty much the goal. i'd also avoid aop (which is a bottom house), not because they are bottom but because they are known for bullying the few nice members they get. tbh, most srat girls are pretty insecure. if you like "real" friendships, you may want to stay gdi. probably wont have to worry about a sister trying to steal your bf or any of the other drama that asu srats are notorious for

once you become inducted to whatever srat you're in... you will realize that on the other side is all about looks and picking girls that maintain whatever image they offer. idk if that equates to friends for you but most 18-19 girls think it does. also, some join for the validation of belonging to a group, whether it is a genuine one or not!
