Will bring greek help me in my future?

nope!!! I’ve been told by several (not just one) recruiters for top tier companies to leave off any mention of greek life on a resume. they don’t care about the quote-“leadership” opportunities and the perception is that in 2022 it is completely irrelevant. not only that, but a negative that suggests one might have gone to college mainly to party and that one lacks a sense of independent critical thinking, openness to diversity and inclusion, and innovation. just sayin’!

Look up all the C level executives at Goldman Sachs. Almost all of them were in greek life. Recruiters are at the bottom of the food chain in corporate structure and that was probably just his personal opinion because he probably didn’t get a bid in college.
The truth is that greek life opens up new doors by giving you tons of new connections. You also learn people skills and leadership skills, which are very useful in life and can’t be taught like excel skills can be taught.

but sounds like you're still looking for a job while i have a fantastic offer. the fact is that in 2022 being greek doesn't have the clout it used to and is increasingly being viewed as a negative. blame it on the "me too" movement and focus on diversity & inclusion, or just natural evolution / times changing, but greek leadership probably isn't going to open the doors you think and it might even close some.

and for the record, i 1000% support me too and d&i reform. its about time. but sadly, greek life as a whole isn't exactly woke
