Sigma Kappa ASU Truth

As an active member of Sigma Kappa at ASU, I can tell you much of what is said here is true. I rushed thinking I had found my forever home. Pledging had some fun times. And then came initiation where I wore all my white everything, learned the "secrets" that really aren't so secret. But once we got initiated, it was like the honeymoon was over. Suddenly the masks came off, other so called sisters treated us like outcasts and cold. When I asked why this was happening, I was told this is a business and that's how it is. All the talk about Saint Katherine (SK), SAO (sigma alpha omega - sisters from beginning to end (yeah right)), TRUTH password, "Thus we stand heart to heart and hand to hand" secret motto, SLAM (sigma love and mine), One Heart One Way, Pass It On, the pearl ring, st elmos fire, and all that stuff is out the window and just for show. So here I sit, surrounded by people who all bash each other (and every other chapter) and then pretend to like each other, act like mean girls and then get mad and even more mean when they get called out on it. I considered dropping out but I have seen that drama unfold and it's just easier to go along with it all for now, politely address MC and sisters", sit in our triangle and do the hand squeeze at each meeting knowing it is meaningless. As for those who say we pay to have negative reviews taken down, yeah, sometimes. We can't have all the dirty details out there otherwise we have a whole other problem with low membership. We will literally pay money to keep the truth from getting out. Funny thing is that truth is one of the ritual things yet there is only lies at this chapter. I wish someone would have told me all this before I was initiated but whatever. It is what it is. To the PNMs, just be aware and alert and don't believe everything you are told. And keep in mind, you may seem negative reviews here about SK, but think about what the ones we paid to have taken down must say. My only goal in posting this is to let PNMs know what my experience has been because it's unfair to be deceived until initiation when it is too late. Go through rush and listen to your gut instincts. wanna know something SO INTERESTING???? i posted here to share that as an aoii i'm experiencing the exact same feeling as the op except i'm not spilling my srat's secrets AND i'm dropping because why be miserable? AND SOMEONE DELETED IT???? what does that say? hmmmm. is aoii deleting posts? dz already admitted that they're doing it. i don't know why someone would take MY post down. the truth about aoii is that it's beyond cliquey and mean. and there are a bunch of girls that are butt-hurt because our social media features one girl over. who cares? the drama during pre-recruitment has been extra. just wanted to say how much better i felt knowing that it wasn't because i chose the wrong house, but that there are issues in every house.

My post critiquing the original poster was also deleted. Ironic that the OP claims that the sorority deletes posts yet is prob reporting any comments that aren’t supporting her completely bashing SK.

Here is what is funny. I have screenshots of all the posts that were removed and they were critical of sonorities and went in the favor of the orig poster. So ya, I doubt she paid to have them removed. Both of you validated her points about mean girls and lack of loyalty and sisters who don't care and drama. It would work completely against the orig poster to pay to have them removed. You saying the crap that you are though also works in her favor to further validate her points so congrats on that.

If I were the original poster, which I am not, I would def not want your posts deleted because you confirmed what she alleged. You are hear bashing greek life. Doesn't matter what chapter you are talking about. She can bash sk cause that was her experience and you can bash aoii because that was your experience and the other person can bash sk too cause that was her experience also. good lord. each of you is speaking to your own experience which ALL make greek life sound bad. So you are no better than anyone else and are doing the same exact thing.

Maybe you all don't know how this site works. You can report posts until your blue in the face. Not much will happen unless you pay. There are posts criticizing the OP so I seriously doubt she is spending her money to have them removed. But you coming in her with your cattiness and accusations says everything about you and basically demonstrates everything she said. Are you girls really that clueless that you can't see that. I am in a chapter too but have more class than to sit here and get catty and nasty with someone else on here because then IT PROVES WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT US.

Sigma Kappa has been horrible to their members. Lots of people dropping. All houses have problems but Sigma Kappa seems to have the most. Various sorority girls yelling at each other and insulting each other and making greek life look bad. Overwhelming majority of people agreeing with original poster. And if you want to know sigma kappa secrets, they are all in the OP post and another sigma kappa confirmed they are real.
