Top national NPC sororities

by: seven sisters

ASU has many of the best known sororities that belong to a group designated as the Seven Sisters: Alpha Phi, Tri Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Pi Beta Phi, and Chi Omega. Nationally, these 7 are typically the strongest/best houses overall and are USUALLY top or mid-tier at most schools. However it is true that regionally some groups are stronger than others. ZETA, SK and GPB are strong but top less often than the above.

AXO, KD, ADPi, AGD and DZ are top only on occasion and are slightly more regional especially in the South.

AXD is never top and not nearly in the same category as the above.

PHIMU, AEPHI, SDT, DPE, AOPI are next.

SSS, PSS, ASA, TPA, and AST are just totally unknown, generally speaking.

None of this is true. The top national sororities are ranked by the size of chapters and members. It is too subjective to create rankings any other way. Sorry to burst your bubble. I have never heard of the grouping you are referring to as the "Seven Sisters," and I worked in Greek Life. You can go to PHC's national website to confirm information. The largest national sorority by chapters is Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII), and the largest sorority by members is Chi Omega (XO). They both tend to do very well at most campuses across the country. Every PHC sorority has strengths, and each girl must find their own place.

Also, it is a joke to put SK and GPB as stronger than AOII or Phi Mu nationally. No one believes that. Phi Mu and AOII are much better nationally in every way and certainly on the majority of campuses.

hate to break it to you, but just because a chapter is strong nationally (meaning they have a lot of chapters and members) doesn't mean it's a good house locally. prime example: aop has a lot of members and alumni across the nation, but everyone knows they are a joke at asu. just because they say "we're new" (which isn't even true anymore), doesn't mean they're popular. what often happened is that someone's mom or a group of moms (alumni) help colonize chapter here because their daughters (possibly too awkward to get into any other house) will be attending the university. they wanted legacy status. now legacies are kind of a thing of the past.
