Rushing as a Junior

Hi! so i’m a current junior at asu, and i was thinking about rushing spring 2021

I really wanted to rush freshman year, long story, but pretty much couldn’t bc of an abusive relationship. I have a lot of friends in greek life already but I also want to rush for myself and meet new people. (i have a 3.9 gpa if that’s relevant)

Is it a good idea? is it possible to even get a bid at this point and what houses even accept juniors ? \n\n\n\n\n

As a junior it’s extremely hard to get called back by a lot of houses because they usually want freshman, even being a sophmore is pushing it. But who knows you may even get lucky and they’ll really like you! But you will still find the house that you love like I did.

I say go for it. Yes some houses are going to cut you but you will find your forever home. Just have a open mind and have a positive attitude :)

Hey! I transferred from a community college and I was a 21 year old junior! I found my house but it’s true what someone replied, most houses will drop you if you aren’t a freshman because that’s who they tend to gravitate to. But don’t let that discourage you! There are plenty of amazing chapters that would love to have you in their chapter!! I say go for it and give it a try ! Spring recruitment is normally really relaxed compared to fall recruitment so it maybe better to rush then:) best of luck!!:)
