Married PMNssssss
by: IjustwannaseesomethingWould being married effect your chances of getting a bid? If you were obsessed with a PMN would that change if you found out she was married?

I think it’s great that you are going to ASU to get your degree and want to be involved! Don’t listen to these other people on here, it doesn’t sound like they know anything. I know a lot of houses would not judge you at all, I just don’t know if it’s actually allowed. Your best bet is to call panhellenic and find out the parameters for rush (marital status, age, etc etc). Your marriage shouldn’t define you, and neither should being in a sorority 🙄. Best of luck with rushing, and if that doesn’t end up working out then there are a ton of other clubs at ASU!!

If they signed an antidiscrimination paper it should not. Sororities, or at least mine, are not allowed to discriminate on any factors besides gender. Recruitment at ASU is supposedly values based (at least that is true of what panhellenic preaches and my own sorority only looks at values, can we relate to the pnm, and gpa.) therefore being married should not be an issue. Also it is kind of a rule not to talk about romantic partners or boys during formal recruitment--no boys, no booze, no bongs...no bible. We have had married girls in my srat but none of them were married during recruitment --yet I'm sure my sisters would be excited to have a married sister so we could do the ceremony we do when someone gets engaged or married.
