Greek Life on a Resume

by: Question

I’m barely a sophomore, but Let’s say I were to hold a leadership position in a chapter (like VP of ____, ____President) Would you recommend I put that on a job resume? Give me some insight

any leadership position anywhere is good to put on your resume! I’m a VP and just finished freshman year and it’s definitely eye catching and shows involvement.

Wow that’s really impressive! How did you go about become a VP, if you don’t mind sharing ?

hey! honestly I have no idea how I got my position lol. our chapter does nominations then elections the following week. so we can just nominate anyone for whatever position we feel would be good for them. there’s no application or anything. idk how your chapter does exec elections, but getting involved and showing commitment is probably the best way to get yourself noticed if you’re wanting to be on the exec board. like join committees, do service hours, and anything else that will make you stand out!
