recruitment process is bull.

Part of recruitment is that it's a mutual selection process. Even a Kardashian is going to get cut from houses. It's just part of the process. Would you rather the recruiters be rude and ignore you? That's just not what we do.

I’m sorry you don’t like when girls are being nice to you. They aren’t going to tell you during a round that they don’t like you. I think you may be thinking too highly of yourself.

I will say I agree. I think it’s super important for the recruiter to be nice to keep the girls in a good mood for the rest of recruitment but some top houses say certain things that stick in girls heads and make them think they are wanted.

the girl youre talking to who 'leads you on' might really want you in the house, but other girls in the sorority might not have gotten to connect you as much or there might be a lot of girls 'ahead' of you in line. so its not necessarily lying, certain actives could genuinely want you in the chapter but you still not make it due to the process

LOL at OP referring to top houses as "superficial" while overlooking the potential of middle and lower rank sororities.

I would chill on this pnm. She probably really connected with the girls she was recruited by and was hoping to be in their sorority. She was probably looking forward to seeing them and was heart broken getting cut! I understand because it happened to me by a top house too and they really made me think they liked me the way they acted. Don’t worry though <3 you can find another house you will love or re rush later

So basically houses can only take xx amount of girls back for the next round, and that number goes down each round. So while you may have really connected with a girl and she may have really connected with you, and she may have tried hard to get you to come back, but you may have been too far behind too many other girls who were ahead of you in the line. Then the sorority hit their maximum number to ask back, and while they wanted you, there just wasnt room... This is where things like grades and high school involvement come into play.. you end up with a better spot in line.

So if you only talk to 1 or 2 girls at the house and they really like you how do they decide which pnm to ask back? Is it how much status your recruiter has in the house?

Each sorority has different standards. Every sorority has a different amount of girls they need to drop. It doesn’t mean you’re bad or didn’t click with them. If you feel they may have genuinely liked you, odds are they probably did! But it’s tough when it comes down to deciding who to offer a bid to. It’s not an easy process and difficult for recruiters. Don’t feel down on yourself for not getting the house you wanted!
