rankings and fraternities

What are the main things that each fraternity is known for, and how are fraternities ranked?

I'm transfering to ASU from community college. I already have some friends at fraternities at ASU, and I hear a lot about tiers and rankings. What exactly is the criteria? (Best parties, coolest houses, most members, cuttest girls, etc.)

I have a couple friends in Theta Chi, TKE, SAE, and FIJI. I enjoy heading down to Tempe and having fun with them. Most of the time, the fun justs consists of drinking and smoking. Everyone likes a good time, but I looking for a little more in the way of a group of guys that is going to share a passion for academics, athletics, and being a positive force in the community. I knew my view is a bit skewed, and would appreciate if someone on campus could give me a brief run down of some fraternities. I am considering running in fall, and am eager for input by current students.
