Yeah SAE is definitely screwed, im just worried about the greek system as a whole. Chico state and some other schools have been getting rid of their entire greek system for a lot less than this...

The University really offers nothing. Maybe being independant is better in the end.

It isn't fair in the slightest, but because the media blew up the story about this disappearance being hazing-related (even though cops and his family have since given up on that angle) the school will probably go after SAE. As for the rest of us, since the school has already been after everyone that has a complex, they're probably gonna end up getting everyone else in trouble for minor infractions whenever possible. And Michael Crow will continue to try to make ASU a more academic school, when in reality the students will be just as dumb as they were before. Cutting down on student drinking won't improve our school's reputation when our acceptance rate is nearly 100%

is lame as hell. It used to have a pretty good Greek system, but since the administration wants to kill that it'll keep declining, and it's not exactly academically elite or anything, so I don't know what they're hoping to accomplish. Not as if getting rid of the Greek system is going to bring top students.

There are top schools like USC and UF that have crazy greek systems and the kids still rage AND get a great education. ASU should focus on being selective, not cutting down parties. A school can have a good party scene and have great academics. But if you keep letting in the dumbest kids on the planet, of course you are gonna get people who can't handle both.

Yale, UCLA, Berkeley, UT, UGA, Vaderbilt, Dartmouth, UPenn, Cornell, UVA and plenty of other top schools.

Places like Bama have risen in academic profile even while their Greek system doubled in size.
