rushing
by: ZyzzI'm attending ASU in the Fall (coming from MD) and want to rush for access to parties, to meet a ton of new people (esp. females) and to be part of a brotherhood. Only problem is I'll be working and I'm a mechanical engineer major and I still have to workout everyday so my time will be very limited. If I rush will I still have enough time to balance all of this or will rushing take too much time from me?

Dude if your priorities are to party and socialize then you're going to not do well in the mechanical engineering major; that's a fact. So many dudes say they can and brag about kicking ass in class until you take a peek at their grades and see they are maybe getting a C+ every once in awhile as their highest grade....
There's the Theta Tau coed engineering fraternity but they don't do any kind of partying at all. You're really going to have to make a choice. Do well in school or join a party chapter. You won't get both.

There were dudes in my PC who were engineering. It's definitely doable. Especially since first semester is by far the easiest semester of college, course load wise. If you're really worried, take 12-13 credits and then take a summer class later to make up for it.

Grades are obviously my top priority and I plan on graduating with a 3.0 minimum. partying would fall last on my list I just want to find some type of balance. I guess rushing isn't really an option
