I think you mean independent fraternitys. And the answer is that it is completely up to you, and what your looking for. Picking your fraternity is like picking a family, it is one of the most personal choices you can make. In my experience, IFC fraternities are generally closer to the very original fraternities ever formed, in that they are focused on creating men of scholar. On the hand, independent fraternities are the "fun" fraternities. They're the ones that the movies are made out of.

OFC frat have no ZERO affiliation with ASU, Let me say again OFC have NO, NADA,ZERO affiliation with ASU they can theoretically recruit high school kids, jr college students, or that 40 year old that always wanted to be in a frat. Basically a paid membership club for losers.

Actually ALL members of OFC are rejects from IFC frats, now go back to recruiting high school, jr high or middle age men who want to relive their teens. Since your frat is not officially connected to ASU are you affiliated with Mesa Jr College or Phoenix High School?

Here's the breakdown.
If you want to party throughout college without ASU threatening you with "unregistered events" go OFC. They pull. They can do pretty much anything. Sororities still come around idk why kids are saying they can't at all. What are we in junior high trying to say what you can and can't do?
IFC benefits.
Intramural with other fraternities.
Philos
And socials.
I wish I was ofc lol tired of ASU trying to threaten us with sanctions for every noise ticket we get.
