alpha phi and theta did not take girls outside of recruitment, they never have. Pi Phi doesn't either. Not to bash, but its usually houses with lower numbers and higher drop rates that do COB and spring recruitment. KD might offer COB/spring rush since they're so new, and AXO did spring recruitment last year and they're a good house.

I know a girl who rushed aphi outside of formal recruitment. This just isn't true.

Last year, Alpha Phi had a table at the event promoting spring recruitment/ COB, so they definitely do- it's just that the process is different for each house. Some are really lowkey about it, but you can always try emailing different houses to get specifics!

Take it from me, I dropped recruitment last year because the houses I wanted dropped be because of GPA, they weren't doing COB because KD was colonizing. I rushed in the spring and ended up not getting into the right house because all the houses weren't taking girls... It's best to wait till the next formal recruitment!

except almost every house participated in some form of spring recruitment last year... maybe it didn't work out for you if your GPA still wasn't great?

Continuos open bidding happens when chapters are below chapter total. Chapter total is currently 227. You can not take any more women then that. I believe there are only two chapters that are below that KD and ADPi. Pan will adjust total within 72 hours of recruitment so that number could change. Your best option is to wait til spring where some chapters will recruit because of graduating seniors or retention issues. PC's are usually small- less then 20 and some chapters never participate. You can always reach out to chapters and let them know you are interested in being Greek.

A good majority of houses do COB.. Alpha Phi and Theta took girls last year outside of formal recruitment and according to this website they are considered "top". Reach out to all of the houses you liked and see if they are participating in COB! :)
