am i less likely to get a bid if i'm a junior?

by: Junior

I plan on transferring into ASU and I really hope to rush the second semester into my junior year, but my friend tells me It may be hard for me to join at this age. Is this so?
Are sororities really that selective? How many people get cut?

You can still get a bid from a sorority here as a junior. Every year, lots of juniors go through recruitment and join sororities here.

Yes- some of the groups might not take a lot of juniors since all groups would rather take in freshman/sophomores so you could have less to pick from but who cares? All of the groups here are great. There's not a set # of ppl who get cut or anything per chapter, just depends on how well you mesh with each group.

Don't be too worried about it - just be yourself and put your best face forward and you will find a place :)

Oh and formal recruitment is only in the Fall. Some sororities take in new members in the Spring but it's unpredictable on who does ever year. Just depends on how many girls graduate in December.
