So is chi omega basically the "hippie" sorority? And are they considered middle tier?

Yes chi o is considered the hippy sorority. Although each sorority has their share of hippy members, chi o is overrun with them. They are mid tier at best.

Many consider chi o to be top tier. They have "hippie" girls but also preppy girls, which makes them diverse.

chi o used to be top tier with KD, however they have dropped significantly to lower mid tier
