Is everyone guaranteed a bid? Have there been people who don’t receive one.

No one is guaranteed a bid and yes it does happen where people do not get one. Just keep an open mind when going through. I think a lot of girls drop too once they don’t get called back by their first or second choice.

I didn’t get my first choice in recruitment. In fact, I’m in a “lower tier” but I’m very happy and love my sisters. Regardless of who you get cut by, try to give the other sororities who call you back a chance.

You are guaranteed a bid but it just depends on the sorority you want to join. Not everyone gets their first or second choice. It’s rare for people not to get a bid from a sorority. Give them all a chance even if your favs drop you.

Wrong - you are not guaranteed a bid but it is rare to not get one by someone whether it is your first choice or not

Truthfully every year there is a handful of girls who don’t get bids. It stinks but you can always see who is COB-ing or try again next year. Some sororities do spring recruitment too.

Give all of them a FAIR chance. Talk and get to know each girl even if they might not be your first choice. This will give you the best chance of getting into one.

I can't count the number of girls we had go through in the past (I'm a senior who just graduated) who were rude or wouldn't even TALK to us bc we weren't their first choice (and we are mid tier). Then we end up preffing them and they are all sweet bc they want a bid..... ironic.

Side note - this women didn't get bids bc of their attitudes

Please go in with an open mind. I don’t know how many times to say to give ALL of them a chance. Even if you want a bid from a certain sorority you might end up loving another one. Treat them all equally and you will find the one that’s for you :).
