a new sorority
by: we'll seeI want to say that I had an absolutely awful time going through Recruitment this fall. I felt like I was being picked apart and nothing felt real. I was so stressed and cared waayyyy too much. The sorority I preffed dropped me come bid day, and I realized that none of these sororities really were for me. I have decided that I am going to start a new chapter here on campus. Is there anyone here that can help me with telling me what I need to do to start a new sorority chapter? I just need some tips and what should I do?

If you went through recruitment and none of the sororities on campus felt right to you, maybe greek life is not for you. Expansion is a several year process- the school announces that it is up for expansion, sororities present to the school if interested, etc. You can check with the greek life office, but I haven't heard of any planned expansion. IMO, the current orgs need to work on retention of the members they already have before expansion is considered.
