tips and reminders for pnms!

hey guys, i'm seeing a lot of negative posts on this site implying that rush is going to be unusually hard or different this year. coming from a senior in a sorority, i want to give you some advice

1. do not act the way you think you're "supposed" to act in recruitment. so many girls do this, and it's easy to spot. be real. if you're nervous, be honest about it. ask questions.
2. recruitment is NOT crazy restrictive or difficult this year. i promise. i have friends in PHC, so i know the rules for our side. relax.
3. campus reputations are overrated and unimportant once you're in a sorority. people care about what YOU are like, not a dumb stereotype.
4. go with your gut. trust you instincts. don't just go where your friends go.
5. going off of that...have an open mind. my first pick and current sorority ended up being one i didn't see myself in at first. your opinions will change, and that's okay.
6. IF YOU ARE A REALLY GOOD FIT FOR A SORORITY, YOU WILL ALMOST ALWAYS GET A BID FOR THAT SORORITY. if a sorority drops you, it's because you wouldn't fit with their beliefs and personality. that's okay, since there are like 9 other houses you can fit in with!
