honestly, why did you join a sorority?
by: pnmLook, this site is completely anonymous. Why did you really want to join a sorority? Parties, boys, philanthropy, friends. I'm a transfer student and the only real reason I've been thinking about joining a sorority is because I'm terrified of not making friends and being extremely lonely when I get to App.. is that understandable?

I transferred and joined a sorority and I definitely have more friends in the chapter than anywhere else like class or groups or anything. It's just a better bond. I have friends in other chapters thru my sisters too so I've met most people from that. I didn't live in a dorm so I really think Greek life helped a lot with finding a group when I transferred. Unless you're planning on being on a sports team or like heavily involved on campus it can be kinda hard to just meet new people.

I wasn't a transfer and I decided to join because I was coming out of state and did not know a single soul. Im not usually one to just jump into things so I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone but I've met tons of people I know I wouldn't have without greek life.

I was a transfer and I needed friends haha. My freshmen year, I was friends with only Greeks and saw all the fun they were having. I felt like I was missing out on something and I saw how they had strong support systems. My Greek friends also always had something fun to do, so that's just another reason to join Greek life.
