Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at Appalachian State University - ASU 4.0 News flash. Speaking as a working alumni and past PMN - sadly, you never get out of high school. College, and sorority life in particular, is just a continuation of the same. 40 years from now,...trust me,...you won't give a flying fudge what "tier" your sorority was in. Whether they were the "hottest" on campus. Whether they won awards for all their good works. What you WILL remember and hold dear to your heart is those sisters that made you feel special. That were there for you when your crush walked by WITH the truly hottest girl on campus. Cried with you on your worst day and cheered you on during your finest moment. For the love of God, self-rate your sorority if you must - as they ALL have positives - but you keep our gender continuously DOWN when you find only negative things - based on appearance, popularity, 'boringness', etc. And you will wonder a decade from now why MEN/bosses will have their own internal "ranking" on your behalf - basing it on the same things you'd never hold THEM accountable to. Start empowering each other. Who knows,...maybe the spark will catch. Great things can happen when we support each other. ALL sisterhoods.
