Is Adelphi University legit?

I got a letter from them saying that I was "a promising student" and that they wanted to help me in the college selection process. They even made me an account and everything. Is this a scam, and ad, or is it legit?

It's an ad but every school sends ads like that pretty much. It is a legit school though
