Is UH like Bama Rush Tiktok? Panicking

UH, greek life, and recruitment is nothing at all like the insanity at Alabama. Greek life at UH is much smaller, there are fewer chapters and fewer girls in each chapter compared to Alabama and other big SEC schools. Greek rank is a pretty unreliable way to keep tabs on the chapters, especially closer to recruitment mean comments will start showing up everywhere in order to make the chapters look better than one another. All the chapters will be fake to an extent because they wanna seem amazing, so just trust your gut. Some chapters are known for being more fake than others and ranks change depending on who you ask so take everything you read and hear with a grain of salt.

UH rush is nothing like alabama. you should def still go through and trust the process just have fun with it. girls recruiting are just as nervous as you! greek rank isn’t reliable at all and is honestly just kinda funny to look at and read. there’s lots of pre rush events you can go to! if you keep up with the panhellenic ig you’ll see what you can come to! it’s very easy to spot genuine girls vs fake ppl and you will see where you belong!

Here to reassure you: it is not like it at all. You'll be fine. It wouldn't be a sorority without some issues, just like every organization or friend group in existence. But you get so much out of it and great friends. Just trust your gut and be yourself. If it isn't for you it isn't for you and that's ok. But UH is nothing like Alabama
