Living in bayou oaks is a con.Off campus housing allows you the freedom from the watchful eyes of UH. It provides the real fraternity house experience without paying upwards of $6oo dollars to share a room. Unlike bayou, parties are not shutdown at 12 or raid by police.

It depends on how you look at it. If you look at it from an adult view then Bayou is better. We can still party and when they get "shutdown" all it means is that you start kicking out people but a large number of people will still stay. Managing a house is extremely difficult especially since all the liability falls back on the fraternity. At least at bayou if anything happens then you can also blame the school. Now I do wish we had actual houses but at least we have something. Also it's harder to be involved if you live further away and people are less likely to become screw ups.
