recruitment question

by: pnm

So everyone keeps saying "you're almost guaranteed a bid if you don't drop." Does this mean guaranteed a bid to one of your top choices? Do most pnms want the same 2-3 houses or does most everyone end up pretty much where they want? How harsh are the cuts? #help

It means guaranteed a bid in general. You're never guaranteed a bid to your preferred house because the sororities have the upper hand. They know who fits in their chapter and they decide. Every PNM is different which is why we have 7 sororities instead of just one. You go to where you actually belong, not where you think you belong. Sometimes it's the sorority you expect and sometimes it's a total surprise. But we currently have enough spots for all PNMs going through recruitment this year. It's not common to be dropped completely unless your gpa doesn't meet the minimum requirement
