There are two tiers at jmu:
top six (in alphabetical order, because I think they all are the best in different catagories)
Alpha Phin
Alpha Sigma Alpha
Delta Delta Delta
Sigma Kappa
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Zeta Tau Alpha
all of these sororities are competitive and compete for the best girls, since their styles and personalities are all different it is pretty much the same competitiveness for all of them. These sororities are the most well known on campus and are included in multi way events like frat formals, spring breaks, and five way parties.
The bottom six (again in alphabetical order)
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Sigma Tau
Delta Gamma
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta
Phi Mu
These sororities are more laid back, their positive is most of these girls aren't all about sororityting like the top tiers, they still have parties and go out but not as much and those are the type of girls they attract.

I had suitemates and hallmarks in almost every sorority. With that being said theta sound be included in on the top six bs. I say this because every weekend when we talked about what plans/mixers etc Aphi ddd and theta seemed to mix with the same people(top frats, mostly middle tiers and sometimes upper lower tier frats). When it came to seeing girls in sk,sss, Zta and Asa they mixed more with top, sometimes middle and basically never lower.
