southern vs. northern
by: PNMWhat does it mean when a sorority is more "southern" or "northern?" Is it just where the girls come from or is it how they act?

It's a combination of looks, how they act, and where the girls are from. More northern sororities have a lot of girls from Jersey & NY and tend to be trendier (SK & SSS). If a sorority is more southern, you'll see a lot of monograms and preppy styles (ZTA, but I'd say Phi Mu is the most southern). Aphi and Tri Delt have a healthy mixture of both

To clarify, just because a sorority is more northern doesn't mean they only take girls from northern states, and vice versa haha. Style and personality have a lot to do with it
